i use the plex app on andriod as my primary music player, until music was removed from the main plex app. now i like using plexamp, except that i often add music to my library remotely, and now i have no way of making the library update without a computer. the auto-scan has never worked properly and plexamp has no scan library feature. i would prefer if music was added back to the main plex app, but at least give us a scan files button in plexamp.
Use Plex Dash to trigger a library scan.

Auto Scan works really well for me. If it doesn’t for you it’s worth investigating why. Maybe that would fix your problem.
