Add a manual server, by entering ip adress to Sony Bravia KD43XF8599

Server Version#: 1.15.4.993
Player Version#: -

Has anyone a idea how to add a manual server, by entering a local IP adress to android tv ? Plex is only able to let you login, but so far i can see, there is no option to add a server manually on this TV.

Hope anyone can help

I can’t remember if the Android TV app allows manual server IP addresses. Did you check in the settings after signing in?

However, if you need to add a local IP then something is wrong. The app is able to scan your network and find your server. if it’s not finding it, then you’ve got something configured wrong and adding the IP probably won’t help.

Thanks for your reply. Even if I sing in or not, it doesn’t work on the Bravia.

But if I don’t want to sign in, on other devices this still work by entering the local IP address.

Friendly name in pms is given and works with dnla. But just not on my brand new bravia, frustrating!

Anyone an idea?

You can try using the Server version of that setting.

Setting \ Server \ Network \ LAN

Enter the IP of your Bravia there.

If that still doesn’t work, then there is something up with your network. Describe how your server and that TV are connected to your network. Do not leave out any network devices in the path.
