Add ability for users to flag videos with errors for end user Apps (on Roku, Nvidia shield, Android)

It would be great to have a feature where users can easily flag a video that isn’t working properly, has bad audio, etc. Would make it easier for admins to find and update media files.

EDIT - This capability does not appear exist in the end user apps (Android phones, nvidia shield, roku, etc).

Add a Label to them, “Need to Fix” then you can filter on that label later.

It’s already there.

In all seriousness the Report Issue feature could use some serious work… There’s currently no real way of tracking issues etc and even just finding reported issues in the WebUI or apps is a nightmare… I tell my users not to use this feature because it’s borderline useless as it is currently implemented.

Take a look at how Ombi and other 3rd party apps of the like handle issue reporting.

I did try getting my users to only use the built-in reporting mechanism in PMS, but after a day or two I couldn’t take the clunkiness anymore and asked them to start using the 3rd party methods I set up instead. It’s been like this since it was implemented, and I’d love to see some work be put into it.

The report option is clunky. My family and friends just text me instead because it’s a lot easier.

How to confirm or delete this report - when it is fixed for example?

There’s a separate suggestion on that.

Clunky or not, the feature to report issues is available.

So, instead of keeping a suggestion asking for the same, let’s create on to focus on how you’d like to see it improved.
I’ll therefore close this one as it’s in fact implemented.
