For a while, my personal account was defined as administrator for my PMS.
This account has access to any library and can add other users. I can see a little crown at my account
Now I want to delegate this role to another user (“plex.plessers”).
Is this possible? How?
Oh, I didn’t knew that.
But question still remains: how can I give my service account admin privileges? If possible even the ownership of the Plex Home User pool?..
i assume it matches the account the server is signed in as. so just sign your server in as the other account (if its not plexpass you’ll lose those features)

nope.
On my server (windows 10) I log in with local account and password.
PlexAdmin is a registerend Plex user with Displayname, email and other password
If I just could change the logon (=email of my admin), displayname and password, this would be great.
You can. Sign your PMS out. Change the username and email from 1 of the accounts (user -> user_temp) to free up those names. Then change the username and email for the other account to match the original (user2 -> user). Then change the first account to this second account (user_temp -> user2). Sign in PMS using the new first account (user2). User2 will now be listed as the admin.
mmm. I just noticed a problem.
My initial account “plessers@gmail.com” has a plex pass.
Switching now to “plex.plessers@gmail.com”, when trying to update a (premium) music library, I get an error message “This library requires your server be signed in to a Plex Pass account.”… Logical but

A premium music library is exclusive to Plex Pass holders. If your new admin account doesn’t have PP, this is the expected outcome.
Unfortunatly, but logical indeed.
I created a mail for billing:
Hello,
I wonder if it is possible to switch my account for my plex pass.
Let me clarify this: I started with my personal account plessers@gmail.com.
This is now my
- “Server manager” account
- “Home user admin” account
- “Personal use” account
Especially for this last purpose, I have too many rights and see to much of my (test)libraries.
So I want to use a kind of service account (plex.plessers@gmail.com) for administration (server manager account).
This account will create libraries, configure settings, share libraries, etc.. with my home users (including myself).
Doing so, the service account (plex.plessers@gmail.com) can share a limited number of libraries to myself (plessers@gmail.com)
However, my plex pass subscription is for plessers@gmail.com, so running PMS with logged on user plex.plessers@gmail.com (without plex pass) limits some functionalities. I.e. I can not update my (premium) music libraries anymore, see also http://forums.plex.tv/discussion/230110/add-change-plex-admin#latest )
So I wonder if it is possible to switch my subscription of plessers@gmail.com to plex.plessers@gmail.com
Is this possible?
Kind regards,
Bart Plessers
If you want to benefit from other Plex pass perks, your ‘service account’ needs to invite your ‘daily use account’ into the Plex Home.
Then you are also able to switch quickly from one account to the other.
Hi @OttoKerner ,
I tried this setting before, but even then: my (normal) home user, can not download content shared from my (plex pass) service account
This is the answer I receive from helpdesk::

Hello Bart,
Unfortunately, only the admin is allowed to download content (any type of content, not just photos) using Plex Web. There is no way currently to allow other users to download from a server. Sorry.
Thank you for contacting Plex!
Are you sure this setting is working at your setup?
