Add files to a collection in specific order

I have a 40+ album selection (Global Underground DJ series) that I want to either place in a playlist, or collection (preferably a collection) most of the tracks are CD length, but a few are 3-5 minutes long. Is there a way to add a file to a collection and have it organized as to how I added the file? Specifically, I click on five tracks, click add to collection, that is the order that I want to see those files listed in the collection. Right now I have collection order set to custom, but my files still get rearranged in the wrong order. Alternatively, I have all the individual albums in separate playlists, is there a way to add 40+ playlists to a collection?
