I can only add one track/song at a time to a playlist. With a big library this is a very slow painful process. I can select multiple tracks and click add to playlist, but it doesn’t add them. However, if added one at a time, they appear on the playlist. Perhaps I’m doing something wrong? Ideally one could select several tracks, or even a whole folder to add to a playlist.
On what client (platform, version) is this not working for you?
I’ve just tested this using Plex Web and multi-select worked when creating a new playlist as well as when adding multiple tracks to an existing playlist.
So the feature is certainly available/working.
Are you ok to switch this thread to a regular forum?
I’m experiencing the same issue on my end.
I’m using the Music screen on Plex Web (plex.tv) (Library > All > Tracks > By Date Added). Selecting multiple tracks and then adding to a playlist which already exists does nothing. Using the “Create Playlist” option just creates an empty playlist.
Server Version: 1.20.3.3437
Server OS: Linux (Docker, using linuxserver image)
I managed to workaround this, since all the songs recently added to the server were destined to the same playlist, I filtered the tracks and set the limit to the # of tracks that were recently added, then used the Save As > Add to Playlist button which worked.
This issue is already being tracked.

After trying some more over the weekend, I got it. Thanks for the replies.
I found that in a folder view I would open (for example) the Jazz folder, then the Miles Davis folder, then the specific album folder, then select a track - which opens a page with the whole album and all the tracks. Then next to the total number of tracks which is listed above all the individual songs, there is an option to select all. Then at the top of the page is an option to add all tracks selected to a playlist. I did not find a way to add multiple albums at a time to a playlist however. Adding one album at a time is better than one track at a time. It would be nice to be able to add multiple albums to a playlist. Maybe I just haven’t figured that one out yet either. Again, thanks for the responses.
If you are not using the folder view, you can add albums and even artists to playlists.
