Hello Dev Team..

 

   I am new to plex add-on coding i am going thu existing code to get an idea and i have 2 questions

 

1) i want to change\add new view fan art

***** i know fan art is XBMC but i like the view split screen with cover art *****

 

2) and i want to add a section in my add-on that will allow selected Movies\TV shows to the media library as a .strm

*** again like XBMC ***

 

if you know XBMC you know were i am going i want a 1channel for plex

 

and please if this has already been discussed or is being developed point me in the direction, i did check github for an existing channel no luck

Not sure I quite understand what you're asking. Let me see if I've got it right. You want to;

  1. use custom fanart for your channel? or create custom views? both? or something else entirely?
  2. use your Plex channel to dynamically create .strm files and add them to the Plex library? (fyi: .strm files are not really supported in Plex. They may work in some instances on some setups but that may break without warning or chance of repair).

Is that right? Any more clarification you can add may help to point you in the right direction.
