Guest DJs are focusing on expanding a play queue, e.g. by inserting tracks based on what’s already in your queue. Now that a queue has run empty… what should continue?
Isn’t that basically already covered by existing options like going for an album/track/artist/genre radio station?
I use guest dj and radio interchangeably - the point is, when my current queue stops, the only option for autoplay is, as far as I can see, to play the next/previous album from the current artists.
Having an option to automatically start a radio, DJ Freeze, or something similar based on the last track before the queue ends would be cool, instead of just having the music stop.
If you’ve enabled auto-play, you should see a card representing what Plex will play at the bottom of the play queue. You can swipe that card left/right and pick from a number of options… playing the next album is one of them, but you can also start various radios based on what’s playing.
Your screenshot looks like you just added a single track to your queue. From what I remember, auto-play will only trigger if there’s a queue created (e.g. by playing an artist / album / …).
Oh you totally can, I would have never guessed! And after setting it to track radio, it seems to work even after app restarts or starting new tracks. If you had not told me, I would have never guessed I had to swipe it, tysm. Maybe what it needs is some UI love then?
