Currently plex seems to check every single file, video file or not when scanning a video library. This results in awfully slow scanning times. Partial scan does not work for me with my network drives so thats not an option (Partial scan starts when files are added but doesnt actually scan the folder that was changed with my folder layout - X:\FilmName\FilmName.mkv. Mediabrowser can pick them up straight away though). I dont understand how plex cant just check the latest modified folders when performing a scan. My tv show folder scan this morning is only at the letter T after 3 hours. Removing metatata files such as nfos and jpg etc speeds it up but i want to keep that metadata for other apps. So can an option be added where you can stated which files you want ignored.
The ignore file didnt worked the time i tried it.
