Dear Plex Gods, please hear my prayer. think about my idea again. Trust me it will increase scanning time so much with so little effort (at least that is what i think)
Ik have 32TB of has drive space. Finding new content that i added takes forever.....makes me so sad.
So please, pretty please with sparkles on top, add this feature! it would make my day.
(Ore is there a reason why its not possible? Dying to know.)

Have a read of the naming guide and you'll see how to do this. Also make sure you are on the latest server version which has significantly faster scanners.
Thanks for the replay. I did check out the naming guide. I have made an "ignorefile1.plexignore" and placed it in the root of one of my NAS drives tv series shares. in the file I specified all the tv series folder names that need to be ignored and added with "/*" on the end. It doesn't work for some reason, trying to figure it out.
Stil a small checkbox on the plex server web interface would be way easier then creating scripts to instruct the plex server.

Not entirely sure where that filename has come from, should just be .plexignore
Still think a small ignore checkbox in the plex server web interface (letting plex create and edit its own plexignore file in the background) would be a great improvident for users, speeding up scans even more and saving valuable CPU resources. Small effort large results.
creating more then 500 plexignore files is undoable for me.I just have to much stuff. I think I will wait till the plex angels grant us with a better solution.
There must be a more user friendly solution to this problem

No I was not expecting you to create 500. I just wanted to establish if your problem is this problem. Just needs one to test this out
