Add playlists section in Android TV layout (e.g. GoogleTV)

Yes, I know that GoogleTV is dead. I have accepted its faith and don’t expect any major updates for the GoogleTV layout in the future.

However, one thing that I use daily is playlists (mostly for TV shows, but also for music). Unless there’s more than meets the eye, it shouldn’t be very time consuming to add a playlist section to the TV layout since it’s already in the Android app. Puh-leez?

GoogleTV is actually growing considerably - like very considerably.

AFAIK the Plex app on Nexus Player does have a playlist section.

GoogleTV has been discontinued last year… I think you may be referring to its successor, AndroidTV.

GoogleTV and FireTV have special layouts in the Android app which have not been updated to support playlists, hence my request.

What hardware are you using?

Sony NSZ-GS7 Internet Player with Google TV.

Google TV was effectively killed in June 2014 to make way for Android TV.
Players were discontinued shortly afterwards.
