Hi! I’m using Plex as a way to backup and view my family’s movies, as well as to ease sharing of movies between us and our extended family (specifically my folks and my in-laws).
Between my house and my in-laws house, we have an extensive collection of movies. I’m ripping a small portion of those that we are likely to view more frequently, but this still consists of a few hundred movies and ~1000 TV episodes. It’s not feasible for me to confirm the successful rip of each and every item. Typically, we find out there’s an issue when we try to watch a movie, and I go back and re-rip that movie to correct the issue.
It would be helpful, however, if there were an easy way to report an issue with a title within Plex. I imagine this as some sort of error-type icon on a button within a title. Press the button, and a quick dialog box opens with the ability to choose from a list of common issues (“subtitles offset”, “audio out of sync”, “item incomplete or incorrect”) or “other”. Everyone will be able to see the number of reports on a given title, so they can know if there’s a problem before they start watching. The server manager gets notified of the issue and the account that reported it. They may then fix the issue and clear the errors.
Just a thought that would make my own life a little easier.
Thanks!
