For an Android Wear device, such as the Moto 360, it would be lovely if I could use the watch to control playback of Plex on my phone or tablet (regardless of whether the phone/tablet is playing back local or controlling a Chromecast stream).

I think this is a very good idea am due a phone upgrade at christmas and know i will be a phone that will be google wear compatiable, at that point plan on getting a wear watch too.
Would love to be able to control plex from my watch. Lite others watch I really want in the Moto 360 but as also use fitness trackers might end up going with a samsung wear.
So, something interesting. I'm playing a movie via Plex on my Nvidia Shield (hooked up to TV), controlling it from my phone.
I just looked down at my Moto 360, and it shows me the ability to pause/play the movie, just like when I'm using it to control music playback.
Sooooo... Not sure if this is functionality Google has rolled out directly, or if Plex added support, but either way, this is pretty cool. Would still be interested to see more interactive functionality be added, but this is a great start.
Just an update to say I picked up a sony smartwatch 3 this week seems to be a lot of interest in these products and think they are about to explode sales wise in next couple of years similar to how the chromecast have.
Seems like they are starting to open up android wear to developers and add more functionality so hope the team here at Plex will look at it. think it can be a unique selling point and help to sell Plex.
If play plex from my phone my wear watch only lets me pause/unpause. Play movies also gives me volume control. Ideally I would like to be able to use google now to load plex and start playing something.
If start play music it starts a random radio feed, maybe starts first item on deck?
Maybe have a voice command to start plex on movies another on tv another for music.
Anyway basic support and build on that ideally.
Some music players let us skip tracks, if could pick what to play and search ideal but maybe that's longer term. remote controling plex ideal, mini app to phone another option.
To others know if can do some of this with a secondary app for now like tasker, to add voice commands, from watch using google now to control app on phone maybe?
