Add To Play List ??

I run Plex with playlist that I have Monday - Sunday and them some custom ones I have created.

  1. In the playlist via my browser, and when I use playlist from the left menu on my TV, playlist always are listed alphanumerically and then alphabetically, and they still display that way.

  2. But when I’m on the home page in my browser and I click on the lower right of the thumbnail to “Add to Playlist” instead of the list being displayed in the above mentioned order, they are just all scrambled. I have not found a way to fix this, so I not sure that Plex dev team messed this up in a an update, or what, but it never used to be this way.
    Now I every time I add something to “playlist” I have to go hunting through all of them, as they are just displayed in some chaotic order.

  3. On top of that, now, when I put an entire TV series into my Plex folder, instead doing the “usual” of displaying just one thumbnail for the shows season, and allowing you to create a playlist from it, Plex is now displaying every episode of the series, essentially spamming the “Recently Added TV” area. In doing so, there are so many of the newest videos loaded, that Plex fails to see any of the older videos added, its like the Recently Added TV line has run out of room because of this.

The order in the “add to playlist” drop-down is “recently-used first”.

In all the time (years) my drop-down list has always appeared just has the page that shows my “playlist” numerical first, then alphabetically, it wasn’t until a few patches ago that this changed. The only thing that should be displayed in order is the “Add To” area. Add To shows the last few accessed, but when you chose Add to Playlist / Add to Playlist… this opens a larger applet window that displays all playlist, this is the list that should display as numerical then alphabetical. Instead mine are all scrambled, and it has never been this that way since I started using Plex in 2013.

On top of that, newer issue…If you add a entire TV series to plex, and open the large Add to Playlist, at the bottom windows it will automatically put the series “Name” and the season. Now the name is no longer being added, it will only auto-fill the season, IE, Season 2, and the name is left out.

Sure would be nice if…

  1. There was actually some type of support.
  2. When updates break or mess things up, they would actually be addressed, and fixed!
