When I want to add a track to a playlist the list of playlists is in alphabetic order. I want to add it to the most recent. I prefer the most recent playlists I added music to. But a alternative option could by the most recent played playlists.
I have for example a playlist with the name: A way in a Manger. It’s august, I don’t want to add music to my Christmas playlist.
I understand alphabetic is useful for large lists of playlists, but maybe it’s possible to add a search bar so I can filter the list.
After one year, still no feature to sort tracks in playlists. It’s not that hard to add this feature, PLEX team? You can make great playlists with filtering on last added or last played and that kind of stuff, but when you added a new song and add that song to your existing playlist… it wil end at the bottom of the list. Very frustrating that Plexamp isn’t automatically set that track to the first position.
How is it possible that Plexamp in 2022 still hasn’t this function?
Looking forward, together with a lot other users, to see this function in Plexamp soon.
I would love to be able to manually order my playlist for the best mixtape experience. Can we please get this feature? I know it can be done in Plex, but to go to Plex to order a playlist is not too intuitive when we have a great app like Plexamp. Thanks for considering.
Today [on the windows app] I made my first playlist. And was shocked at the lack of basic use features available.
I was trying to create a faux album with the tracks of an existing album reversed in order. I added the whole album to the playlist expecting to be able to just rearrange them to my heart’s content only to find there’s no real way to do this. So then I figured i’d just delete the tracks and there’s no option for that either. On some screens that show playlists you cannot even delete the playlist. It’s just really funky and seems like a forgotten realm.
Hopefully Plex does something about this in the near future.
No, it isn’t that what I ment. It’s basically just ordering all the tracks in one playlist.
It’s 2024 and Spotify has it since they started, so I don’t get it why Plexamp doesn’t.
So when you’ll have 1000 tracks in one playlist, you are arranging them with sliding them up or down? That’s work for Chinese people but I don’t have the time for that.
When new music is added to a Library, I will add them to my playlist… so I like to have the new music at the top of that playlist. Automatically this isn’t possible in Plexamp, only with filters… but not with handmade playlists.
So the ‘Sorting’ function, quite a basic thing… is all I ask.
