Adding a "Friend" to my local setup temporarily?

Server Version#: 1.27.2.5929 (latest)
Player Version#: Not sure. Samsung TV and Nvidia Shield, kept up to date.

Firstly, sorry for not spending the time figuring this out on my own. I’m leaving on vacation tomorrow and don’t have the time and I would very much appreciate a clear step by step if you can

My mother has access to my Plex library remotely. When I go to settings under Manage Library Access, her account is listed there. That’s fine.

Under Plex Home, there is currently my own account, my wife’s and my son’s.

My mother is house sitting for us while we are away. I’d like her to be able to use my TV’s here in the house and sign on with her plex account so her watched status, etc are maintained.

Possible? I’m not seeing an obvious method for doing this.

Thank you!

On the sharing overview page: hover over your mother’s account and add her to your Plex Home. This won’t change what you’re sharing with her, but allow her to use fast user switching on your TV (using her own account)

Afterwards you can remove her from your Plex Home… she’ll still be a regular „friend“ afterwards.

I’m sorry for being super dense, but what’s the “sharing overview page”?

I looked… honest lol

Ok, I think I figured it out.

Settings → Manage Library Access → [mother’s account] → little house with a + icon

I’m curious @tom80H what system are you using? My server is on Ubuntu. There’s no “hover” functionality.
