One of the outstanding retropi users has created a dual boot retropie/rasplex image Here and its pretty sweet, however he has changed the skin to Aeon so he can add in the script to swap between Rasplex and RetroPie. As far as I can tell the already existing “shutdown” or “restart” menus options just sends the command to the pi, there must be a way to add in a menu option for like “games” to execute the script to copy a file and then execute a reboot.
I am very limited in my knowledge of the skinning process, but if I am out to lunch on this let me know.

Why not just use BerryBoot, there are a number of tutorials, especially from dlanor, search for BerryBoot. That way you can use any skin you wish.
