I use Plex religiously. I currently have a 15TB NAS that’s almost full and I am planning on expanding my array this Christmas. That being said, I am utilizing every Plex application out there to access my library. My flavor of choice however is on my XBox One. Having voice activated controls in conjunction with Plex’s smooth interface is the Bee’s Knees, and for all you smartphone users Smartglass make navigating easy. With all other streaming services such as Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, and Netflix there are achievements and points added to your gamerscore for watching a movie or TV show. The more you watch the more you are awarded. If you binge watch a whole season, well then you are that much closer to the 18000 increments of reward and free stuff. So by watching you can earn free downloads of other media to add to your library. Win-Win! So please “Like” this post and ask Plex to add the additional support for achievements and gamerscore.
I thought all the app achievements were 0 for gamerscore. I know all the ones I’ve got for Netflix and Youtube are…it is gamerscore, so it would make sense.
Achievement lists:
The above are all 0 points, seems kind of pointless to me, but to each there own.
If your talking about the 18000 for Xbox Rewards stuff, this won’t really be much help since you aren’t actually getting any points added to gamerscore.
yeah those don’t add up to your Gamerscore:
Microsoft announced on the official Xbox blog that the Xbox One will introduce media achievements. These will be special achievements created by application developers, but they will not affect your Gamerscore
I actually called and spoke to a developer at MS and for what I am requesting to happen, Plex will have to agree to share play data on the back end, partner for achievements, and validate metadata. So Plex will have to share some stuff and agree to partner with MS before anything will happen.
