Where does Plex pull it’s metadata from? I have a lot of musician friends and I’ve added their info into MusicBrainz but Plex doesn’t display any Artist data or any blurbs for the albums. The only things I’ve gotten to show up are Album Title, Album Cover, and Song Titles.
Where do I go to populate the Artist picture, Artist Blurb, Album Blurb and other data?

So make sure that the release in MB has an external link to the matching release in AllMusic. I don’t know if you have to do that for Last.FM or if it’s automatic.
One other note: If you entered a new artist or album in Musicbrainz, it may take a few days (maybe a week?) before Plex will know about it. I don’t know if that’s because MB doesn’t make it available for several days, or whether Plex only grabs refreshes from MB periodically.
I’m not sure that your information is completely accurate. I’m not finding entries on allmusic or fanart.tv for some of the artists and I’m almost positive that they have data show up in Plex. I need to double check that though.
I was having metadata issues with my music library which is what caused me to completely blow it away and verify all metadata as I add an album at a time.
Wish there was a way to summon the Plex Ninja’s to provide the metadata rules since it’s not as simple as Movies and TV.
