I am attempting to add a Plex library. However, one critical step in the setup process is missing. When I follow the instructions in this article - https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200288926-Creating-Libraries - my Plex does not show the option “Browse for Media Folders.” It simply adds all of the music from all of the folders I have in the Plex “Shared Music” folder that was created by default when I added Plex server to a My Cloud Home. I get “select type” “options” and “advanced,” but “Browse for Media Folders” is not there. Can anyone help with this problem?
The WD MyCloud Home is a restricted device.
The Plex server on it can only use the predefined ‘Media’ folders.

- If I buy another NAS that is not restricted, can I change the server associated with my account? I’m not sure how many servers can be on a single Plex account. And is switching servers an easy process?
- Do you have a recommendation of a good NAS for Plex that is not restricted?

There are no restrictions on the number of servers. Simply use the same Plex username and password on a second server device.

Sorry, no. I am of the opinion that an affordable NAS is not a “real” Plex Server, because all the models I know have too weak CPUs.
QNAP has some models with better CPUs, but those no longer fit the ‘affordable’ description.
Either a combination of NAS, purely for storage
and a mini PC with a good CPU .
or
a real server PC
is what I’d use.
I know there will be lots of users disagreeing with me.
