Is there a way to add other sources for music lyrics not supported by the current data bases on plex? Thank you very much!

The only way to incorporate other lyrics is to add them as sidecar files in your Music library, unless you can find a ‘channel’ plugin that will grab them for you. I am not aware of any ‘channel’ plugins for lyrics though and I have not searched for any.To add a lyric file to your Music library, name the file exactly like the music track it belongs to except for the extension.
EG:
Chris Isaak - 03 - Blue Hotel.mp3
Chris Isaak - 03 - Blue Hotel.lrcYou will also need to enable the Local Media Assets agent and sort it towards the top of the list in order to have your lyrics files picked up by Plex.
When viewing the lyrics within Plex, you may notice a number between two arrow buttons at the bottom of the lyrics window. The numbers 1/2 etc… indicate which lyric file is in use and how many files there are for that track. Use the arrow keys to cycle between each of the lyrics files.
Also note, that you can add plain text lyrics or timed lyrics.
it seems that even with moving local media assets to the top with .txt files with the same name doesn’t work. I’m placing the files in the same folder as the music but i dont seem to get the lyrics to open. I’ll run through the process again and see what happens.
I have figured out how to put the text files in. I would like to have them as lrc files but I’m not sure as to where to find them or make them. It seems like lrc files aren’t as popular as they used to be. I see lrc versions of my songs on android apps but cant find any of those on windows. This is a bit frustrating haha.
Try http://www.crintsoft.com/MiniLyrics.htm
if you configure it correctly, it will put the files automatically beside your audio files with the right name.
After you’ve added lyrics files, you’ll have to Refresh Metadata for the particular album or artist.
