Hi is this the correct format while adding lyrics to plex?

Yep, that’s it.

Make sure to ‘match’ the album, because if it’s ‘unmatched’, it cannot use any ‘agents’.
But it is the Local Media Assets agent which is talking care of ‘sidecar’ files like lyrics, artwork etc.pp.

So if this is a Premium Music library (which is currently a little handcapped),
go to the album page, then click on the vertical ellipsis ⋮
pick ‘Match’
then click ‘Auto-Match’ and pick one of the choices
wait a few moments
