It would be great if the plex app could be added to sky.
There are many sky TV customers in the UK, who already have sky boxes with many other apps such netflix, youtube, disney, and many more, and do not want to buy another streaming device to use plex.
There’s already an existing suggestion discussing the option to create a dedicated Plex app for the Sky receiver box (although that one hasn’t gained all that much attention yet). Please comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes.
Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.
the original one was quite old, and was requesting for the app to be there during the launch of the sky box, which no longer makes sense. I am requesting for it to be added to the sky boxes, as an update.
I‘m wondering if it really makes a difference… both suggestions aim at Plex providing a client for the Sky boxes. The other thread happens to go back to when it was first announced that the boxes will support apps.
