Adding Resolution and minute / second counter

While I see the MBPS rate for the video being sent to a user, I son’t see the actual resolution (480p, 1080p, etc) if it is being transcoded. Additionally, while I see the number of minutes left in the video, I don’t see the running minutes and seconds count of where the video is at the moment.

Can both be added?

not sure about a running timer but You can view general resolution like 1080p by opening the expanded view.

detailed media info can be viewed opening media details.

Note your photos. What is being shown is the ORIGINAL resolution of the video data - in this case, Stranger Than Fiction at 1080p.

If you go to play that on another device and alter the resolution to, say, SD or 720p resolution, you will see the MBPS rate - it will be lower than at full resolution - for the transcode but you will NOT see the new resolution on Dash.

Additionally, the Media Details give you the resolution of the original file, not the transcoded version being played on some player anywhere in the world. What I would like is for the resolution of the transcoded version being sent out.

By the way, the web version of the Dashboard does show the transcoded resolution…

ah ok sorry I misunderstood. i’ll pass it along

Thanks! Love the Dash app. Shouldn’t be too hard to add the transcoded resolution to it. I’m sure it will improve over iterations anyway…
