Adding Second Folders to Libraries

Hello everyone, I am trying to add additional folders to my libraries, one each to Movies and then TV. The network share is mapped on my plex server and I can find the location where the mount is but when I want to add the specific Movie or TV Show folder, those two folders are faded out. Not sure whats up with this. Hope someone can help me out. Thanks!!

The icon next to them seem to indicate it thinks those are files rather than folders. I’m not a linux expert but have you checked permissions etc

Samba gives only YOUR username permission.

It doesn’t grant permission for user plex.

Hmm I am using NFS between TrueNAS and my plex server. Seems fine from checking it though. Ill post the directories below. I did set my user and group in truenas NFS settings for the maproot user and maproot group settings so they wouldnt have issues (wasnt able to map the share without this)

Using the samba share on my windows pc with the same credentials I can access everything fine.

drwxrwx--- 3 nobody 4294967294 3 Nov 5 18:59 Movies
drwxrwx--- 2 nobody 4294967294 2 Nov 4 11:31 'TV Shows'

Give this a quick read.

The permissions you show do not include user plex:plex (which is the 3rd octet of the 770 triad you’re showing)

The ls -la you show is a nobody:-1 owner & group which isn’t going anywhere with Plex since Plex is only in group plex by default.

On TrueNAS, relax the dataset export permissions.
