I would love to see a way to add Movies and TV shows to a Netflix like “watch later playlist”. This would surface in all the client UI’s like either the On Deck section or a top level menu item.
Items should be manually added (like subscribed) and automatically removed after watched status changed. TV Shows added should be added at the “Show” level. All episodes unwatched are added and removed as watched. Newly added episodes should be added automatically to the playlist and removed as they are watched.
Large libraries can have a hard time surfacing things you want to watch, so doing a manual parse through the library and adding things to this playlist would help a lot.
Smart playlists can be used for some of this functionality, but not all. Also the way to create and use smart playlists is incredibly complicated.
