Thanks guys, but it wasn’t just me doing the updates, that being said, really appreciate it.
@fritz276 will have to look at that, and most of the content has the full date, but the ones with only the month/year will have issues, any chance you can just give me the content ID from the url (or send me the content in a PM) so we can take a look?
@MickeyMaus my issue being blocked was solved by using VPN services, not sure if that helps or not.
I do find it annoying that they did stop getting updates for those sites and some more, and/or stopped going back in history for some others.
If it doesn’t catch the information for the authors, can you send me a PM of the content you’re looking into? that way we can properly match and find the right area for the actors.
I have been looking into the fact that it won’t catch actors that are not “official” (those marked as Dev).
The release date is also something I have been missing and wanting to look into, too many titles with the same title :((
hey guys just wanted to chime in and say thank you for this. I’ve been using both the data18 and data18 contact plugins for awhile and love it, thanks for the hard work
However if you’re as picky as me and don’t want the content id in your file system, you will also be able to use the title of the content in the format of <title> (Year) (or just the title alone)
You can also use <actor> in <site> and it’ll find all the possible solutions for that actor in that site, but you’ll have to pick the right one.
@halkon - Ok so I downloaded that file. Unrar’d it and renamed it to Data18-Content.bundle - placed it in my username/… / plug-ins folder…
Restarted plex. Reassociated the folder with Data18-Content and it’s still no go for me… Does the FOLDER that the file is in, have to be renamed to the “Title and Year” As well? I’m missing something… PS this is my first time doing this. LOL
@bossj Did you make sure to remove the old data18-content plugin you previously had?
Either way no worries on the first time, it took me a while to figure it all out at first.
I do name the folders also with <title> (<year>) as the movie scanner picks it up really well from that.
One thing you may have to do is do a full force refresh of everything (and also do a search from your machine to data18.com to make sure you’re not getting blocked. if you do a search and get results then you should be fine)
A good way to figure out what’s going on is go to a content file and on the more options button choose Fix Incorrect Match.
When it’s done “searching” it should show you No Matches Found. Once that happens click on Search Options and see what the title is, it should be the <title> portion of the filename without the year.
Also if you don’t mind, can you PM me what is contained within the Title input field?
Let me know if that works for you, and we’ll go from there
Hi all, I’ve got the content bundle working great for scenes of movies, where I’m having issues is getting the data18.bundle to download any data anymore. I am trying to get info for whole movies, which I can’t get the content bundle to do.
On the master bundle , it finds the movie by name, but no metadata or images are downloaded for it at all. Any suggestions or does anyone have an updated py file for the main bundle, all I’m seeing is a lot of updates for the content bundle.
@ziggityza I’ve mostly been updating the content bundle as that one has had more issues recently (and updates from data18) however I will say that I am currently not having any issues at all with the Movie bundle.
Any chance you can PM me how you’re naming your movies and perhaps a link to the actual movie you’re trying to match? Sometimes the matcher is picky.
Do note the comments about data18 blocking you. If you search for something from the same IP as your Plex server on data18, and get no results, then you may be blocked already.
Hey guys, thanks everyone for pitching in to try to get this thing working properly. I hope I can contribute a bit with my VERY limited knowledge of programming. I’ve been poking around the Content code a little bit, and have figured out a way to get the agent to pull down the release date. Have a look at the attached script (or copy/overwrite the one you have in your <\Data18-Content.bundle\Contents\Code> folder).
Please note a couple of additional changes:
I like the “Site” to populate the ‘Studio’ field, and “Network” to define ‘Collection’. If you prefer the opposite, switch them back (on lines 416 and 422)
I have added a ‘Content Rating’ entry for everything that gets pulled down using this agent (I’m using the standard ‘NC-17’ for adult content, but if you prefer something else (eg. ‘XXX’), you can change it on line 435.
I adjusted the ‘Summary’ to eliminate the leading space and new line, as it was previously appearing.
@halkon, you’re welcome, glad to be of some help. You may want to clear the genre filters I left in there (line 385), if you’re going to repackage. I was going to do that before posting, but it had slipped my mind…
@nitschkecm@yahoo.com I made them Pull Requests, my apologies, was hoping to get a bit of feedback, I’ve been trying them personally and so far so good. If in the next 10 hours I don’t get anything i’ll merge them and hope to hear updates that way.
I just merged a new set of fixes for the titles, the dates were being included again in the actual metadata title rather than in just the search title.
Also added a few additions
For the search results themselves the title will show up as:
Title (YYYY-MM-DD Network/Site) If Date, Network & Site are available
Title (YYYY-MM-DD Site) If Date & Site are available
