I cannot seem to find a way to create a collection with an advanced filter for Rotten Tomatoes rating. My goal is to create a collection with a Rotten Tomatoes rating of something like 65% or higher and “unwatched” in my movies library.
The users for my library do not self-rate, or “rating”, of the movies so that filter is useless. Thank you in advance.
While you can’t filter by critic rating, you can sort by it. So, an advanced filter like this could be used to create smart collection showing all unwatched movies in descending order by RT ratings:
I’ve applied a limit of 50 so that only the highest rated movies are shown, but that’s arbitrary. I know it’s not exactly what you’re looking for, but I thought maybe it would help.
Awesome! Thank you, this works for me. However, I am running into a problem and unsure why. I have an admin user, and then several managed users under the admin. When I set the collection on the admin user profile (so everyone can have this collection) it shows 0 movies. I know this is because anything on the admin profile I mark as watched when I add it.
To account for this I set the collection to filter based on “User currently viewing the content”.
All good I think, but when switching to a managed user the collection / filter shows 0 movies. So unsure if I need to wait for the system to go through the media, or fresh metadata on that user or what. Maybe I’m missing something?
This will create a Plex collection “Top Rated Movies” that has a Rotten Tomatoes critic rating of 75% or higher AND audience rating of 75% or higher AND an admin Plex user rating of 4 stars or higher.
