I really enjoy the new Discover feature. Some better search options would be welcome, since right now it has troubles finding certain titles, especially very short ones (e.g., It (2017, It (2017) - IMDb), or X (2022, X (2022) - IMDb). Allowing the search by IMDb ID, for instance, would be very useful.
I think that wouldn’t be convenient for users. I think an “exact match” instead of “contain” would solve this issue, no?
The current “contain” is pretty versatile, so I would not change it. As an option (!), “exact match” would help, but I’m not confident it would solve the issue. And AFAIK the Plex scanner and the Discover already identify the iMDB ID for each item, so it would not be a major change. Just allowing the search for a certain ID would do the trick.
