"Advertise as Player" long gone, but still advertises as player (Windows)

I understand that the “Advertise as Player” option was removed from Plex for Windows a year or two ago, but my instance/player still shows up in the cast/control menu on my other instances of Plex, including PlexAmp.
I would prefer it to not show up, since I am unable to interact with it anyway (if I try to use the controls, it gets an “unable to connect to player” error).

Is there any way to disable advertising as player now that the option in the settings menu has been removed?
