Anyone having issues getting the Xbox One app to advertise as a player in other Plex Apps like web apps or IOS app?
My xbox one has never advertised as a player. I didn’t know it was possible until recently.
Mine did a while back and the all of sudden it just went away not sure why? maybe it was some beta testing in the background kind of thing
+1 for this having never worked on my XB1 client. I got excited because I thought I remembered reading the last update was supposed to have fixed this provided that you update PMS to a newer version as well (at least that’s how I remember it described) - good to know I’m not the only one.

See it works intermittently.
Do you have your system in “instant on” mode? I do, and it appears that’s a known issue. I might try disabling it tonight just to see what happens.
also if u have multiple profiles it will cause this to also happen at least it does for me
Sure enough, disabling the instant on feature made the XB1 an available player to cast to from my Android phone andtablet - it was almost surreal to see.
Too bad instant on is an even more useful feature than Plex companion, so fingers crossed that they get it working correctly for people who choose to utilize instant on as well.
