Advice on folder naming convention for a cartoon series?

Hello Plexworld,

I was looking for some help/advice on how to name this series: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Guardians_of_the_Galaxy_episodes#Season_1_Shorts_.282015.28

Specifically, the “shorts”

I tried GoTG > Specials (folder), and named each episode as s00eXX, but it doesn’t register properly on Plex meta data search.

I haven’t tried a subfolder called “Season 01 Shorts” but i’m sure that won’t work.

Thoughts?

Try:

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy (Main Folder)

  • Season 00

    • Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy - s00e01
    • Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy - s00e02
      and so on for all the shorts, both series of shorts all in one folder.

  • Season 01

    • Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy - s01e01
    • Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy - s01e02

  • Season 02

  • -Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy - s02e01

    • Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy - s02e02

Your solution worked. The specific solution for the “special” short episodes was to figure out which episode number they were UNDER Season 00.

So I created a folder called specials, and then each episode would be S00EXX. I would have to figure out what XX was since there was no guide online.

Eventually, I think wikipedia had it updated, so the final episode names were:

Guardians.of.the.Galaxy.S00E01.avi
