As the topic says, after enabling the SSL I can’t access the server.

net::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID

Any ideas on either how to revert that change or get the SSL behaving correctly?

  1. You very likely have an issue with “DNS rebinding protection”. https://support.plex.tv/articles/206225077-how-to-use-secure-server-connections#toc-4
    (Or a general DNS issue.)

  2. Shut down Plex Server using its task tray icon. Import this .reg file, then restart plex server. (unzip it first. You can see what it does by opening the .reg file in notepad.exe) secureconns_disable.zip (363 Bytes)

Thanks @OttoKerner, that reg update fixed the issue and I was able to change the connection to preferred.
