After manually updating plex n DS918+ no files are playing

Hello I updated my plex install by downloading the install from the web client, stopped the plex server and installed the update in package center on my Synology NAS.
since then i can see my movies, tv shows and music but then i click on anything to play it just says.
There was an unexpected error loading this item

rescan the libraries

i removed the update and installed plex from the synology package center and it seems to be coming back a live.
plex seems to run badly or breaks when i install any other plex install and i like having the latest and greatest for live tv
