Synology: Plex won't start after update

Hello, I’m new to Plex and Synology over the last few months. I have an 1817+ with 20TB of storage, and have added some media and an HDHomeRun Tuner to the mix. I’ve never had an issue with Plex until my update today, where the server won’t restart. I tried the usual, restarting the NAS and the server, and even re-downloaded and reinstalled the update in case the update was not successful the first time. I looked through the logs and found the same recurring error after todays update. I’d be grateful for any help in resolving this. The error is as follows: Jan 19, 2018 15:58:05.168 [0x7fc88c48f700] WARN - Warning: ex: boost::filesystem::last_write_time: No such file or directory: “/volume1/@appstore/Plex Media Server/Resources/Plug-ins-9de2951fc”, couldn’t check file: /volume1/@appstore/Plex Media Server/Resources/Plug-ins-9de2951fc.

I can’t find any specific reference to this error on a Synology after spending the last hour looking around the forums. I’m a Plex Pass holder, if that makes any difference in how the server works.

Thanks for any help!

What update are you talking about? Synology or Plex update?

What is the version of DSM and Plex are you running? Where did you download PMS from? The current stable version of Plex is v1.10.1.4602, What version do you have?

The Plex update. Plex version 1.11.0.4666-fc63598ba. Synology DSM 6.1.4-15217 Update 5. Actually, as I was waiting for a response, I restarted the NAS again and this time Plex seems to be working…figures. Thanks for offer of help but I look like i’m ok now. Appreciate it!

Perhaps I didn’t restart the NAS after I had reinstalled the update and that was the necessary order…i.e. Install update second time (presuming first was borked) and then restarting the NAS after that.

No problem. One thing to note is the Plex version you have is beta so if you continue to have problems please roll back to v1.10.1.4602 (stable) and see if the problems go away. Your DSM is up to date.

Could be, I found it always a good idea to restart the server after an update. Glad you got it sorted.

Thank you!
