After setting up Remote Desktop (Windows 10), Local Media Server goes offline after restart

Hi-

I’m running a Plex Media Server on a Windows 10 desktop computer. I was going out of town, so I setup a remote desktop between my Laptop (Also Windows 10 - which I was taking on the road with me) and my Desktop PMS before I left. Everything was working fine. I have my PMS set to restart itself in the middle of the night every night to help it be less sloggy, and when it did the server went offline. When I got back from my trip the only thing that would make my server come back online was to reinstall Plex, but the server falls back offline again every time the computer restarts itself & I have to reinstall Plex again to get it back online. I fear that when I was setting up the remote desktop I may have inadvertently messed up a setting or credential or something that is making it so Plex is unable to see the server on startup. Any thoughts/ideas greatly appreciated!

Instead of re-installing, does it help equally to just start “Plex Server” from the Windows start menu?

And if so, have you ever noticed the task tray icon with the Plex Chevron on it? It should be there while Plex is running.
A right-click on it shows a menu where you can enable an automatic start of Plex.

You write above that your computer is rebooted at night.
Does it also login automatically to your Windows user account?
Or is it just showing a pretty picture and waiting for you to log in?

Aha! It seems Plex was automatically starting on reboot, but Plex Media Sever was not for some reason. Once I set Plex Media Server to run on startup it seems to has solved the problem. Thank you!
