2 days ago I started Plex on my LG tv and found it had updated to a new version without asking. This version says my media server is unavailable. This is clearly not true since I can use Plex on a windows desktop and on a table. The tv is connecting to the network just fine.

Welcome to the New App - Got It
Takes me into the application but not my Account
I can sign In on the top left
There’s a Link & a Code - I go to the Link & key in code on Chrome or IE
The web page says the Link was successful
My TV Changes to Welcome to our New App - Got It
Choose my ID and it starts a spinning cursor and the screen goes back to the Welcome to our New App.
It sits there with a spinning cursor.
I have left it for as long as 6 hours, in case it needed time and was installing something
I have a second TV I use and it updated fine. The main difference is I rolled back the beta client on the problem TV and kept it installed on my second TV. Both are LG but not the same model.
I have made sure the Server is updated and has been rebooted 4 time, ensuring all updates (windows & plex) are up to date and there is no pending restart

Thanks. I thought Plex had just forced a new version on me, but I was apparently put in some trial for a new LG version without anyone telling me. I eventually found the menu where I could get out of that trial.
Fwiw, I HATE the trial version. Aside from the fact that it would connect to my server, it also remove my content from the home page and made me go to a “more” menu to even find where my content should be. AWFUL! I use Plex for MY content, not for the movies they make available. My content should be up front and available with no extra work when I start the thing.
I have power cycled EVERYTHING… LG tv can not find server. Other streaming platforms are working as expected.
Interested, clicking on Media Server Status does sweet F.A. does nothing at all…
The non-early access version says i need to install a media server… I don’t. Synology nas is what I’m using…it is up to date and works on desktop and roku apps
Hi, thanks for the speedy reply. No, resetting the Plex app required me to sign and link… still couldn’t find see my library. Only plex’s offerings
