After I upgraded my library to new Plex agent and refreshed whole library (I backed up my metadata before ofc) I noticed all my personal media items are now matched with Plex Movie agent involuntarily and 99% of them are wrong. I thought matching an item with personal media agent was like like saying “hands off, I got this” to plex.
I should mention, I am a collector of old childrens movies so I have hundreds of movies which are impossible to match because they are non-existing in the agents. So what I learnt to do was match them as personal media and add all metadata and posers myself. When I refresh metadata OR match them again to personal media agent these custom movies gets matched by Plex Media agent and gets bloated with inaccurate metadata involuntarily. I have recorded 2 videos of these two scenarios. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1vd33d2wAa66X-HLOZ2xztFliUm_ZPXsv?usp=sharing

This post exemplifies one of the biggest flaws with PLEX and its so-called development team. Users invest hundreds and even thousands of hours building and curating their libraries only to have their efforts wiped out because the development team either failed to recognize this and/or didn’t care.

This is what happens when you put a kid who plays video games in charge. This is how you lose customers.

So my issue is, if it wasn’t clear, the new Plex Movie agent is not respecting personal media matches and thus causes issues by inserting unwanted and most likely inaccurate metadata into my movies whom are matched with personal media agent (since I only use personal media agent on wierd and old movies which are not existing in agents database).
