So here we are again. A month ago I opened this thread because nobody from Plex had appeared in the Photos & Personal Videos forum in over a month. On the day I opened the thread, a flurry of responses by one Plex employee appeared in the forum. But in the four weeks since then, there has only been one response by a Plex employee in the forum. The Plex employee who started the forum hasn’t been seen in the forum since May. I thought he was to be spearheading the effort.
So I ask again, Was this forum created to facilitate a greater focus in this area by Plex, or to make it easier to ignore?
PLEASE STAFF THE PHOTOS & PERSONAL VIDEOS FORUM OR CLOSE IT AND MOVE THE THREADS TO FORUMS WHERE THEY WON’T BE IGNORED.
Shouting won’t get you anywhere. Plex is company that releases updates and very rarely communicates with us directly. Give up now, you’ll save yourself some frustration.
Ha ha ha. It’d be funny if it weren’t so sad. Plex communicating with our supporting members of the community, even those with a Plex pass? Maybe when monkeys fly out of my butt

Would you rather them answer every forum question, or take care of more plex issues?
I vote the latter.
True, if they were actually to take care of Plex issues. But there are many issues and unfinished apps and bugs that are not being “taken care of” that I wonder what is actually happening.
Maybe most everyone is busy creating the new client apps we keep hearing about, but nothing official. Or maybe they are all busy debugging the broken apps and failing to actually fix the bugs hence no release. Or maybe they are all basking on the beach sipping pina coladas and developing melanoma.
Who knows?? Plex never actuall comunicates what they are doing and that leads to frustration in the user community.
Even previously active and communicative developers are rarely heard from lately. Of course it is possible that Plex slapped those developers down and told them to shut up because they were making the rest look bad.
Edit: I wonder what has happened to the increased openness we were promised in the round-tables. Maybe they are being more open? They just open into the void.

Yeah, I remember coming away from the round table I was part of and thinking “we’ll see”. The opposite seems to have happened.
They’re probably all busy with cloud things or something. Or at least stuff we don’t need. It’s not as if they’re actually improving their TV clients like PMP, PHT or PFK.

Have you been living under a rock or have you not seen the PMP v2 updates? Regardless of what you think about the updates, clearly work is being done. Shame we have to just assume 99% of the time though.
PHT is not getting an update. It’s dead. OpenPHT lives on.
Plex for Kodi is also dead. It might get an update eventually but the numbers dictate where resources go and the numbers aren’t there with Plex for Kodi.

That’s exactly why I’m being more vocal about this.
