While iTunes falls way short of being a true server, it has a very handy ability to stream music to any compatible ‘clients’ which might be an Apple TV, or an AirPort Express, or an iOS device with suitable software or even the new HomePod. You can pick multiple devices from the list of all that are currently available on the network. How can Plex replicate this functionality?
I rather thought it was possible, but now I come to look into it, I can see no apparent way to do it. Any app running on an iOS device seems to be limited to airplaying to only a single other device and in any case, I want to set up the streaming and control it from a Mac, just as if I was using iTunes. How can this be accomplished using Plex?
