With the new album categorizations, I see that Albums wrap when the list exceeds the browser width, but EPs, Soundtracks, Compilations use horizontal scrolling.
This should be consistent, and I strongly prefer that each section wrap. Please do NOT implement horizontal scrolling for Albums!
I agree. Having all albums John Williams composed being hidden behind a carousel-like feature just because they are categorized as “Soundtracks” on Musicbrainz is very user-unfriendly.
I suppose they just reused the “similar”-features for this, since they also seem to repeat the artist name, have no year it was released in and are loaded at the same time as the rest of the “similar” carousels (causing delays between albums and the rest (eps, singles, compilations, soundtracks, …)
I really hate horizontal browsing. There should be an option in the web player to disable it. I have lots artists that have more than 30 EPs & Singles which makes the web interface completely unusable.
Same thing with Various Artists in Compilations & Soundtracks where I have to scroll horizontally more than 200 albums…
Music should be handled differently than Films and TV Shows. I am excusively using Plex for my music library and I feel very disappointed by this change.
It’s partially bad for Various Artists as Soundtracks & Compilations will have a large number of releases under these groupings and you will be scrolling for a while to find the release your looking for.
It’s shortsighted just implementing wrap for album releases and not the other categories.
