Alexa works totally fine for pause, play, and resume. However, I cannot seek, rewind or fast-forward. Is this not supported? Why on earth would it not be?
We don’t currently support video control beyond starting, pausing, and stopping. We’re planning to support a wider variety of playback controls in the future.
This has got to be low hanging fruit, right? Look, let’s talk priorities, and when you huddle up keep in mind - I’ll send the Plex team one cake, the collected works of ColdPlay, and an autographed drawing of myself to hang in your office. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Well anything that modifies the VUI requires a cert run which isn’t quick. We’re also doing some substantial work on the VUI to improve the skill as a whole and enhancing the capabilities of the remote control feature will be part of that body of work. So unfortunately it will be awhile until something actually ships.
