Alexa stops playing albums after 1 song

My echo devices will only play 1 song from an album and then quits. It is NOT shuffling. If I ask to play next it will proceed to the next song. Watching the dashboard it’s almost as if the track progress resets during playback. The song sounds fine but dashboard shows it only half done when 1st song finishes. I’m on 1.23.4.4712.

This is for albums but kinda similar to Alexa Plex playlist only plays 1 song since latest beta update 1.23.4.4712

After the song stops I can ask to play next and it will play the next track from the album. Just not proceeding automatically.

Amazon Echo and Studio when playing Plex Music Radio Stations it stops after playing one track.

Last two years using Echo Dot and Studio. No Issues. Recently purchased Echo Studio and using last two months. It seems after updating to Version 1.23.4.4712 having this issue. This applies
all Music Radio Stations.

Thanks for report. we are looking into it.

Im having this issue as well with albums and playlists, no issues for ages and now with Version 1.23.4.4712 it stops after 1 track

Same issue as OP.

Any update on this issue yet please…?

Yeah, I’m seeing this issue as well. I use my Echo to play music while I work, and it was working fine last week. This week however it plays one song and then stops. Going to try Rolling back to the previous version of Plex and see if that fixes things.

Thanks for reporting this. Seeing the same issue on build Version 1.23.4.4712. It’s like Plex has paused the song after one song, and I have to ask plex to continue playback to get the next song in the album.

Same issue here , having to yell play linkin park over and over in the shower is getting annoying lol

Any update on this issue as more and more people reporting it…?

Also just to confirm for anyone i’ve rolled back to Version 1.23.3.4706 and shuffle from playlists, playing more than 1 song from album all back working

I updated to Version 1.23.4.4775. Still same issue continues.

I also have the same issue. Looking at the logs it appears that Plex can’t find a profile to assign to the device.

ERROR - Unable to find client profile for device; platform=Alexa, platformVersion=, device=Alexa, model=

Removing users down to just the owner profile does not help with the issue. Hope this helps.

No point updating to version 1.23.4.4775 if the issue is still there then.!

I’m sorry the cause has not been found yet.

Roll back to Version 1.23.3.4707. Play back albums and radio stations continually.

Hi! I also have the same problem. Since a similar issue I’m hording the older versions of Plex server lika a squirrel :see_no_evil: but I updated my Synology to DSM 7 and only have the older versions of Plex server for DSM 6.
Is there a place where I can access the older Plex downloads so that I can downgrade to 1.23.3.4707 for DSM 7 ?

Just updated and experienced this problem… landed here when searching for fix. ;O)

I have the same issue - I use a Synology DS220+ NAS which earlier was not connecting to my Plex account. Having updated Plex on the NAS it now connects fine however as everyone else has found I have the above mentioned issue with one track play. It seems to downgrade Plex server on a NAS I have to remove and reinstall an older version. My two problems here are will I be in the same boat of NAS failing to be detected as before and I am unable to find an older version. So looks like its a waiting game for me with an update to resolve, lets hope its a simple one as a lot of people seem to have this issue now.
