All music clustered under same, incorrect "various artists" album?

I recently set up my music library. Here is a screenshot sowing some music and how they all have the same “album”. Also, most of the tracks do not have the artist name there.

My music is in a flat folder, I know the recommended way is https://support.plex.tv/articles/200265296-adding-music-media-from-folders/, but I feel that my music should be identifiable as is, and I’m not sure why Plex is doing this.

I have “prefer local metadata” enabled, and am using the new Plex Music scanner. I believe my music files have all the metadata, and I see artists for just about all the music files locally, and I see the correct album art, etc.

I noticed that when I “edit” the album, I see all the album art for the different tracks as an option for the cover, I’m not sure if that helps:

How should I proceed? Can I proceed without reorganizing my music into subfolders and such?

Unfortunately not. Without the folder structure, Plex cannot function correctly.

There is software, which can derive proper file names and the folder structure from your embedded meta tags.
