All TV programs in Plex Program guide were categorized as movies

Hi,

I am experiencing an issue related to Plex DVR and recording functionalities.

Unfortunately, there is no support of EPG data for South Korea from Plex.
I have managed this by generating custom made EPG data (generated as xmltv.xml), which is also used in tvheadend.

Channel information is imported and displayed well. However, all TV programs are categorized as movies regardless of their own categories. This disallows recording TV episode to TV folder and there is no option for TV episode recording.

Currently, the only available option is the recording TV episode to Movie folder because all TV programs are recognized as movies.

I think that it will be better to provide options for customizing recording options and categorizing TV programs in the upcoming versions.

Please let me have some a solution for fixing this issue ASAP.

Plex requires episode numbering in the EPG in order to identify TV shows. Either the original-air-date or it could be episode / season numbering.

For example, <episode-num system="original-air-date">2018-12-31 06:00:00</episode-num> or <episode-num system="xmltv_ns">6 . 4/11 . </episode-num>.
