Allow automatic downloading of any number of episodes in the new Plex App

In the new Plex App, there are options to download the next 1, 3, or 5 unwatched episodes. Why use these arbitrary numbers? The mobile app has an option to download however many episodes you want (I think up to 200) which is very useful for downloading a bunch of short episodes of a show for something like a flight. Currently, if I want to download more than the next 5 episodes, I would have to manually add each episode.

The implementation in the current mobile apps is perfect. It would be great to have the same features available to download in the new and improved Plex App.

I don’t recall the mobile app allowing downloading. Are you talking about syncing to mobile?

Yes, I’m talking about the “Downloads & Sync” section on Android. I don’t have any iOS devices so I can’t confirm it’s called the same there.

When I say download, I mean save to the device for offline viewing, not necessarily saving to a specific location in the filesystem, although you can currently choose to save your media in the internal or external storage in the Android app.

On the Windows/Mac app it is downloads and behaves differently than Mobile Sync. However either way the 1/3/5 on the Windows/Mac app does not give any flexibility. I travel for work and can be 3-12 hours on a plane at a time. It isn’t uncommon for me to binge watch 10 episodes on a flight. This setting pretty much makes Plex a pain in the ass to use as I have to manually sync episodes or seasons now.

Please Plex fix this.

i cant believe they still havent fixed this.

5 is a very low number

and where is the “all unwatched” option ???

still no movement on this? it seems like such an easy tweak, why is it artificially limited?
