Simple as that → Allow use of your keyboard’s arrow keys to navigate around the various tiles and menu’s within the Plex Web App, as well as by extension Plex Media Player in non-TV mode. The web app already supports a ton of other shortcuts via keyboard, why not the arrow keys? It seems so basic. If arrow keys can’t be supported because of HTML5/browser restrictions, then how about using WSAD or some other keys? At least that way one could map those keys in their remote control and allow the use of the web app via a remote control without having to use TV mode (which I personally am not a fan of → no traditional channel guide, limited functionality etc). In its current state the web app is unusable without a mouse and would like to see this implemented, and doesnt seem like this would be a huge lift.
I agree that the Arrow Keys should be functional in PLEX. I previously used them and found it very easy to navigate through my media library. Without the arrow keys it is such a pain to move down 1 level not shown on the screen. Please map another navigation key to simply move up and down—this is a basic function.
Have you tried Plex HTPC? Plex HTPC - #15 by Moussa
I am going to close this request (so you get back the vote). Implementing keyboard navigation for a web page is a lot of work and not a good use of resources.
