Currently the download feature has a toggle whether I would like to use my mobile data or not. I would also like to propose a toggle that lets me decide whether I would like limit the downloads to my local network or not.
My internet is not fast enough though I could benefit from downloads from outside of my local network. That’s why I download those files.
There’s an existing feature suggestion discussing such an option. While it’s dating back to the days of “mobile sync”, it should be the same logic and also apply to downloads.
I suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to avoid distracting/dispersing votes.
Unless I’ve missed some unique aspect of your suggestion, I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.
