Allow non-square music artwork without cropping

I'm using a Music library to manage audiobooks.  Most of the artwork is scans of paperback covers, so they tend to have proportions similar to this:

When cropped square, you wind up with the art in the middle and the title/author get cut off, like this:

I'd like some kind of option to stop cropping like this.  I have a few ideas:

* If you add a proper "audiobook" Library type, this could be the default behavior there.

* Alternately, make an option in the Library settings whether to auto-crop artwork or not

* When selecting a Poster, add a checkbox to determine whether the art should be auto-cropped or displayed in the original aspect ratio

I understand that for certain libraries, in certain views, the layout is designed to work with identically-sized artwork for each item.  In that case, it would be preferable to shrink the artwork so it all fits in, with bars on the sides, rather than cropping.
