I have a F&*^-TON of family photos stored on a google drive folder.
I loathe the idea of downloading all of them so that Plex can serve them up, It would be awesome if Plex could add a library that is a google drive folder!
If you do a google search you can find how to mount a google drive as a network drive. You should then be able to link that to a photo library. Not sure if it will work as I have not done this but I would think that would work.
- As per Alucard1’s feedback – you can already do that by creating a local mount for your Google Drive folder.
- There’s a feature suggestion for Plex libraries to be directly linked to cloud directories
Integrate the direct (non FUSE, etc.) connection to storage providers from Plex Cloud into PMS
Therefore I consider this implemented (#1) or a duplicate (#2) and suggest closing this suggestion accordingly.
2021 clean-up: partly implemented, partly duplicate
